zugspitze

At 2.962m the Zugspitze is Germany’s highest mountain! It is located in the far south of Germany in the Bavarian Alps next to the Austrian border. That’s why it’s possible to reach the peak by two cable cars - one from Austria and one departing next to the lake Eibsee. The one departing next to lake Eibsee is known to be an engineering marvel! It gains more than 2.000m of elevation with only one steel support! Without doubt an outstanding experience! But don’t forget the surrounding area with the beautiful town Grainau, Garmisch-Partenkirchen and of course Germany’s most famous lake - lake Eibsee.
